FOOD LABELLING
Food labelling are essential for all food products. They consist of information provided on the product packaging about the food. This information helps customers make informed decisions. In Malaysia, there are specific regulations governing food labels. Manufacturers are REQUIRED to comply with the Food Regulations 1985 when creating product labels.
ACTION WILL BE TAKEN !
IF YOUR FOOD PRODUCT IS NOT PROPERLY LABELLED, ACTION WILL BE TAKEN. IT IS IMPORTANT FOR THE INDUSTRY TO UNDERSTAND THE FOOD REGULATIONS 1985 BEFORE CREATING LABELS AND DURING THE R&D PROCESS FOR YOUR PRODUCT.
IDENTIFY YOU PRODUCT COMODITY
Ensure that product meet requirement based on regulation and the use of food additives do not violate the law or endanger customers’ health.
KNOW THE PROHIBITED ELEMENTS IN FOOD LABELING PRODUCTION
Food labels produced must not mislead customers and must comply with regulations to ensure mandatory information is conveyed clearly.
FOOD PRODUCT ADVERTISING
Labels and advertisements must align. Action can also be taken if food product advertisements violate the law.
