WHAT IS BASIC OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID ?

Basic Occupational First Aid, CPR & AED Training is for anyone who wants to become a certified First Aider.

You will learn life-saving skills like CPR, how to help someone choking, and how to give first aid for cuts, burns, broken bones, and spinal injuries. The training includes both theory and hands-on practice.


COURSE OBJECTIVES OF BASIC OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID
  • Perform Basic Life Support Skills such as CPR and Choking for both land and aquatic environments.
  • Understand the Importance of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in increasing survival rates, including its use in water-based emergencies.
  • To enable participants to manage common workplace injuries such as bleeding, fractures, burns, and choking


DELIVERY METHODS OF BASIC OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID

Target Audience

We will train all staff at the supervisor level, team leaders, and one representative from each department.

Duration Training

1 or 2 days (9 am – 5 pm)

  • 1st day (Theory & Discussion Group)
  • 2nd day (Hands on Practical & Simulation Drill)

Cardio Pulmonary
Resuscitation (Adult, Kid & Baby)

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training for adults, kids, and babies teaches how to perform life-saving chest compressions and rescue breaths tailored to each age group during cardiac or respiratory emergencies.

Automated External Defibrillator (Theory & Practical)

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training teaches both the theory and practical skills needed to use an AED device to analyze heart rhythms and deliver shocks that can save lives during sudden cardiac arrest.

CPR

CPR training teaches how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation to maintain blood circulation and breathing in a person who has stopped breathing or whose heart has stopped beating.

Soft Tissue Injury

Soft Tissue Injury training teaches how to recognize, assess, and properly manage injuries to muscles, ligaments, and skin, such as bruises, sprains, and minor cuts, to reduce pain and promote healing.

Type of Wound

Types of wounds training teaches how to identify, assess, and properly treat different kinds of wounds such as abrasions, lacerations, punctures, avulsions, incisions, and contusions to prevent infection and promote healing.

Bleeding Management

Bleeding Management teaches how to control bleeding by applying pressure, bandaging, and elevating the injured area.

Chocking Management (Adult, Kid & Baby)

Chocking Management (Adult, Kid & Baby) teaches how to recognize choking signs and perform appropriate actions: Heimlich maneuver for adults and children, and back blows with chest compressions for babies to clear airway obstruction safely.

Burns and Scalp Management

Burns and Scalp Management teaches how to properly assess, treat, and manage burns and scalp injuries, including cooling the burn, preventing infection, and protecting the injured area until professional medical help arrives.

Soft Tissue Management

Soft tissue management in first aid involves cleaning, protecting, and dressing wounds to prevent infection and promote healing.

Lifting and Moving, Hands on Stretcher

Lifting and moving in first aid training focuses on safe techniques to prevent further injury, including the proper use of stretchers for patient transport.
